We have gradually introduced our dance school uniform as compulsory for lessons. Following our email at the start of the Autumn term, please find further information below about the uniform options available to you. If you are unable to purchase the clothing for any reason, please just send Miss Faye a message via email or WhatsApp so we can make an alternative arrangement together.

There are many reasons why we have a dance uniform for class:

1. Confidence Boosting & Feeling Part of a Team– We want every dancer to feel part of the team and equal to one another. Wearing the correct uniform to class promotes a sense of unity. When students 'look the part', their confidence soars too!

2.  Improves Technique & Focus– Wearing the incorrect clothing for class prevents the dancer from properly participating in our classes. Inappropriate clothing makes it harder for teachers to make corrections when needed if we cannot see a dancers alignment and posture from head to toe. Following a dress code puts the dancers in the right mindset to learn and focus too.

3. Safety & Modesty– Following on from above, wearing a general school uniform or other casual clothes causes unnecessary risk of injury. Also, for acro specifically, there’s a lot of upside-down work, such as hand balancing. Teachers spot their students to ensure safety in each skill. Your child will feel more secure, confident and stay appropriately covered wearing the right dance clothing.

Sizing information:

As with lots of dance attire, it is best to size up in the leotards as they are on the smaller side. I can bring samples to class for your child to try on with you, before you make a purchase. All other items are true to size.

Leotards: Size 1 (height- 110-116cm), Size 1B (height- 122-128cm), Size 2 (height- 134-140cm), Size 3A (height- 146-152cm), Size 3, Size 4, Size 5, Size 6

Shorts & Leggings: Age 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-13, S, M, L
